Amari is a young artist based in St. Louis, Missouri, whose work comes to life through drawing, painting, and textiles.
With a strong interest in portraiture and storytelling, she enjoys exploring the complexities of human emotion—through capturing subtle expressions, or creating immersive environments that transport the viewer to a distinct time and place.
Her work ranges from vibrant, colorful expressionism to nuanced black-and-grey realism, often using direct eye contact between subject and viewer to create emotional resonance.
Deeply inspired by nature, as well as traditional American, Japanese, and South Asian tattoo art, Amari blends these influences into a unique narrative that is both personal and culturally rich.
After earning her fine arts degree from Saint Louis University in 2025, she began a tattoo apprenticeship at Enigma Tattoos & Body Piercings. While striving to be well rounded, her personal style consists of moody, illustrative designs. She has always been fascinated with the practice of tattooing, and is excited to apply her practice to the most intimate of all canvases: the human body.
